Cautions & Guidance
Energy Medicine is a broad term that refers to a variety of energy techniques, adjustments, and methods based on the manipulation of energy fields, where there is disharmony in and around an individual’s energy system. This also includes thoughts, beliefs, and emotions.
Reiki and Biofield Tuning are complimentary modalities that help calm the mind, reset the nervous system, reduce stress, and activate the energy current through the body, which also promotes healing. Energy knows no time or space, so distance sessions can transfer and balance energy to anyone, anywhere in the world, making it as powerful as an in-person session.
On occasion, some may experience what is referred to as “detox” after any energy or body work. Symptoms can vary greatly and can include:
• Notable fatigue
• Heightened emotion
• Headache and/or dizziness
• Flu-like symptoms
• Excessive thirst
• Increased dream activity
• In rare instances: copious mucus, fever, rashes, diarrhea
Generally, symptoms of detoxification pass within 1-2 days, however, if symptoms persist, please contact your practitioner for a follow up adjustment.
It is always encouraged to approach these non-invasive modalities with curiosity.
** It is important to note that Therapeutic Sound Balancing is not advised for individuals going through cancer treatment, acute illness, or pregnancy, as it may create a strong healing response in the system. In these instances, the body may not have the resources to effectively manage detox symptoms that may follow.
** Please note that Reiki and Therapeutic Sound Balancing is not intended to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent any medical problem or psychological disorder, nor is it a substitute for seeking professional health care advice and services.
Energy medicine methods such as Reiki and Therapeutic Sound Balancing are considered “alternative” or “complementary” to the healing arts licensed in the United States. Further, energy medicine methods such as Biofield Tuning are self-regulated and the State of Minnesota does not license, certify, or register Biofield tuning practitioners.
